You Can Make An Impact!
6,000+ Low-income Utahns living in Salt Lake County are in need of psychiatric services but have no access to care without Impact Mental Health. In fact, those who are uninsured and low income are twice as likely to have a psychiatric disorder when compared to the general population (Health Services Research, 2001). Impact Mental Health only serves patients who cannot afford services elsewhere, providing a critical safety net that would not exist otherwise.
Impact Mental Health is funded by grants and private monetary donations as well as in kind. It is a 501 (c3) organization, and all donations may be tax-deductible. Because Impact Mental Health relies heavily on students and volunteers, the majority of every dollar donated goes to services for our vulnerable population.
